HARBOUR AUTHORITIES (MISCELLANEOUS) (NON-HOLDING OF ELECTIONS) ORDER, 1991. | ||
I, JOHN P. WILSON, Tánaiste and Minister for the Marine, being of opinion that, in respect of the election to be held in 1991 of the elected members of each of the harbour authorities specified in the Schedule to this Order, the electors will be so few in number as to render inappropriate the holding of such election, hereby in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ), order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Authorities (Miscellaneous) (Non-Holding of Elections) Order, 1991. 2. It is hereby directed that the election to be held in the year 1991 of the elected members of a harbour authority specified in the Schedule to this Order shall not be held. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
The effect of this Instrument is to direct that elections for shipping representatives shall not be held at the harbours specified above in the harbour election year, 1991. | ||
