ROAD TRAFFIC GENERAL BYE LAWS 1964 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1993. | ||
The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and section 60 of the Road Traffic Act, 1968 (No. 25 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 (Amendment) Regulations, 1993. 2. There shall be substituted for Bye-Law 32 of the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1964 ) the following: | ||
"32. (1) Any person riding a horse on a road shall do so on the left hand side of the road. | ||
(2) Any person (whether mounted or on foot) who leads a horse or horses on a road shall do so with their left hand keeping such horse or horses between themselves and the left hand side of the road.". | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
These Regulations amend the Road Traffic General Bye-Laws 1964 ( S.I. No. 294 of 1964 ) by providing that a person leading a horse whether mounted or on foot shall do so with their left hand, keeping the horse between themselves and the left hand side of the road. |
