SOCIAL WELFARE (EMPLOYMENT OF INCONSIDERABLE EXTENT) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1994. | ||
The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 4 and paragraph 5 of Part II of the First Schedule to the Social Welfare (Consolidation) Act, 1993 (No. 27 of 1993) hereby makes the following Regulations:— | ||
1 Citation. | 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) (Amendment) Regulations, 1994. | |
2 Commencement. | 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of April, 1994. | |
3 Increase in earnings ceiling. | 3. The Social Welfare (Employment of Inconsiderable Extent) (No. 2) Regulations, 1991 ( S.I. No. 72 of 1991 ) are hereby amended by— | |
( a ) the substitution in sub-article (1) of article 5 of "£30" for "£25", and | ||
( b ) the substitution in article 8 of "£30" for "£25". | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
These Regulations increase, from £25 to £30, the weekly earnings ceiling below which employment is regarded as employment of inconsiderable extent (i.e. part-time employment). |
