LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1994 COMMENCEMENT ORDER, 1995.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1 (9) of the Local Government Act, 1994 (No. 8 of 1994), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act, 1994 , Commencement Order, 1995.

2. Section 22 of the Local Government Act, 1994 shall come into operation on the 19th day of September, 1995.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings into operation section 22 of the Local Government Act, 1994 which provides for the making of regulations related to the conduct of local elections.
