FINANCE ACT, 1994 (COMMENCEMENT OF SECTION 89 (1)) ORDER, 1995.

I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89 (2) of the Finance Act, 1994 (No. 13 of 1994), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1994 (Commencement of Section 89 (1)) Order, 1995.

2. The 27th day of October 1995, is hereby appointed as the day on which section 89 (1) of the Finance Act, 1994 (No. 13 of 1994), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 27 October, 1995 as the date for coming into operation of Section 89 (1) of the Finance Act, 1994 . It provides that bets placed on-course in respect of events taking place off-course are to be relieved of off-course duty.
