CIVIL SERVICE SUPERANNUATION (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1995.

I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the Superannuation and Pensions Act, 1976 (No. 22 of 1976), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Service Superannuation (Amendment) Regulations, 1995.

(2) The Civil Service Superannuation Regulations, 1980 to 1988, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Civil Service Superannuation Regulations, 1980 to 1995.

2. Section 8 of the Superannuation Act, 1887, as amended by Section 35 of the Finance Act, 1956 (No. 22 of 1956), and Regulation 2 of the Civil Service Superannuation (Amendment) Regulations, 1988 ( S.I. No. 141 of 1988 ), shall have effect as if the reference therein to £6,000 were a reference to £9,000.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Statutory Instrument increases the limitation under Section 8 of the Superannuation Act, 1887 from £6,000 to £9,000.
