S.I. No. 315/1999 - Adoption Rules, 1999.

An Bord Uchtala, with the consent of the Minister for Health and Children and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Sections 5 (a) and (b) of the Adoption Act, 1952 (No. 25 of 1952) (as substituted by Section 3 of the Adoption Act, 1998 ), hereby makes the following rules:—

1. These rules may be cited as the Adoption Rules, 1999.

2. The Adoption Rules, 1988 ( S.I. No. 304 of 1988 ), the Adoption Rules, 1990 ( S.I. No. 170 of 1990 ), the Adoption Rules, 1996 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1996 ), and these rules shall be construed as one and may be cited together as the Adoption Rules 1988 to 1999.

3. Each of the forms set out in the Schedule shall be used in the case and manner indicated by the form.

4. These rules shall come into operation on the 8th day of October, 1999.
