S.I. No. 80/2000 - National Salmon Commission (Establishment) Order, 2000.

I, Frank Fahey, Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 55A (inserted by section 22 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 (No. 35 of 1999)) of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the National Salmon Commission (Establishment) Order, 2000.

2.         There shall stand established a committee to be known as the National Salmon Commission.

3.         The bodies and organisations specified in the Schedule to this Order are prescribed for the purposes of section 55A(2)(b) (inserted by section 22 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1999 ) of the Fisheries Act, 1980 .

This Order provides for the establishment of the National Salmon Commission and prescribes those bodies and organisations who will have representation on the Commission.
