S.I. No. 148/2000 - European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purposes of giving effect to Commission Decision 2000/285/EC of 5 April, 20001 and for the purpose of giving further effect to Commission Decision 91/516/EEC of 9 September, 19912 , as amended, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000.

(2) The European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999 and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999 to 2000.

(3) These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 August, 2000.

2. The European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999 are hereby amended by the substitution, for regulation 5(2), of the following paragraph:

“A person shall not place on the market a compound feedingstuff containing any substance specified in the Annex to Commission Decision 91/516/EEC of 9 September 19912 (amended by Commission Decision 92/508/EEC of 20 October 19923 , Commission Decision 95/274/EC of 10 July 19954 , and Commission Decision 97/582/EC of 28 July 19975 , Article 1 of Commission Decision 99/420/EC of 18 June 19996 and Commission Decision 2000/285/EC of 5 April, 20001 )”.

These Regulations amend the European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999, so as to give effect to Commission Decision 2000/285/EC.
