S.I. No. 362/2000 - District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days (Ballycroy and Belmullet) Order, 2000.

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), as amended by section 43 of the Courts (Supplemental Provisions) Act, 1961 (No. 39 of 1961), section 16 of the Courts Act, 1971 (No. 36 of 1971) and section 29 of the Courts Service Act, 1998 (No. 8 of 1998) and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby orders as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Districts and Areas (Amendment) and Variation of Days, (Ballycroy and Belmullet) Order, 2000.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on 16th November, 2000.

2. The First Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by—

(a) the deletion at reference number 176 of the matter in columns (2), (3), (4) and (5),

and

(b) the substitution at reference number 174 for the matter in columns (4) and (5) of the following:

Ballycroy

Second Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m.

The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of Ballycroy North, Ballycroy South, An Geata Mór Theas, An Geata Mór Thuaidh, Bangor, Barroosky, Belmullet, Glenamoy, Glencastle, Glenco, Goolamore, Knockadaff, Knocknalower, Muingnabo, Muings, Rath Hill and Sheskin in the country of Mayo.

Second Thursday in February, April, June, October, and December at 10.30 a.m.

”.

3. The Second Schedule to the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ) is hereby amended by—

(a) the insertion after reference number 150, in columns (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5), respectively, of the following:

“

	150A	County of Mayo	District Court Area of Ballycroy	Ballycroy—Second Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m.	The area comprising the District Electoral Divisions of An Geata Mór Theas, An Geata Mór Thuaidh, Bangor, Barroosky, Belmullet, Glenamoy, Glencastle, Glenco, Goolamore, Knockadaff, Knocknalower, Muingnabo, Muings, Rath Hill and Sheskin in the county of Mayo.
				Second Thursday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m.

”,

and

(b) the deletion at reference number 152 of the matter in columns number (2), (3), (4) and (5).

4. The Schedule to the District Court Areas (Amendment) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1970 ), is hereby amended at reference number 3 by the deletion in column (4) of “Belmullet,”, 4 and “176,”.

5. Business transacted in the District Court that is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

This Order provides for the amalgamation of the District Court Area of Belmullet with Ballycroy and for the holding of sittings of the District Court for the District Electoral Divisions of An Geata Mór Theas, An Geata Mór Thuaidh, Ballycroy North and Ballycroy South, Bangor, Barroosky, Belmullet, Glenamoy, Glencastle, Glenco, Goolamore, Knockadaff, Knocknalower, Muingnabo, Muings, Rath Hill and Sheskin in the county of Mayo on the second Wednesday of each month at 10.30 a.m. and on the second Thursday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m. at Ballycroy District Court.
