S.I. No. 90/2002 - Mental Health Act, 2001 (Sections 1 To 5, 7, 31 To 55) (Commencement) Order, 2002

I, Micheal Martin, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 1 (3) of the Mental Health Act, 2001 (No. 25 of 2001), hereby order as follows:

1.         This Order may be cited as the Mental Health Act, 2001 (Sections 1 to 5, 7, 31 to 55 (Commencement) Order, 2002.

2.         The 5th day of April, 2002, is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 1 to 5 , 7 and 31 to 55 inclusive of the Mental Health Act, 2001 (No. 25 of 2001), shall come into operation.
