S.I. No. 120/2003 - Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Sections 45 To 49) (Commencement) Order, 2003
The Minister for Social and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1 of the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 (No. 18 of 2002), hereby orders as follows: | |||||
Citation. | 1. This Order may be cited as the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 (Sections 45 to 49) (Commencement) Order, 2003. | ||||
Commencement. | 2. The 28th day of March 2003 is hereby appointed as the day on which Sections 45 to 49 of the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 shall come into operation. | ||||

This Order provides for the commencement of sections 45 to 49 of the Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2002 . | |||||
Section 45 amends section 80 of the Principal Act, which protects an employee from dismissal in the event of s (he) making a voluntary or compulsory report to the Pensions Board concerning the state and conduct of an occupational pension scheme or PRSA. | |||||
Sections 46 to 49 amend the Pensions Act 1990 to include PRSAs in those sections of the Act which relate to compulsory and voluntary reporting provisions. |
