S.I. No. 472/2003 - Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003 (Section 11) (Commencement) Order, 2003

The Minister for Social and Family Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 1 (4) of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003 (No. 4 of 2003) hereby orders as follows:

Citation.

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003 (Section 11) (Commencement) Order, 2003.

Commencement.

2. The 8th day of September 2003 is appointed as the day on which section 11 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003 (No. 4 of 2003) comes into operation.

This Order provides for the commencement of Section 11 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2003 with effect from the 8th September 2003.

Section 11 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2003 provides for the award of Child Benefit in certain defined circumstances without recourse to a deciding officer.
