S.I. No. 480/2003 - Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2003

I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002), hereby order as follows:

1.          This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2003.

2.          The 15th day of October, 2003 is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 (1), 5 (2) (in so far as it applies to section 47), 5 (5), 5 (6), 6 , 7 and 47 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002) shall come into operation.

Explanatory Note

This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement Order 2003.

The Order commences sections 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 (1), 5 (2) (in so far as it applies to section 47), 5 (5), 5 (6), 6 , 7 and 47 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002) with effect from 15 October 2003.
