S.I. No. 472/2004 - Harbour Authorities (Non Holding of Elections) Order 2004
I, Dermot Ahern, Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, being of the opinion that, as respects the election to be held in the year 2004 in respect of the harbour authorities specified in the Schedule to the following order of the elected members of those authorities, the electors will be so few in number as to render inappropriate the holding of the election, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 of the Harbours Act 1946 (No. 9 of 1946) and the Communications (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 1987 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1987 ) (as adapted by the Marine and Natural Resources (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2002 ( S.I. No. 307 of 2002 )) hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Harbour Authorities (Non-Holding of Elections) Order 2004. 2. It is directed that the election to be held in the election year 2004 of the elected members of a harbour authority specified in the Schedule to this Order shall not be held. | ||||||||
