GARDA SÍOCHÁNA (RANKS) (NO. 2) ORDER, 2004.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Garda Síochána Act 1972 (No. 2 of 1972), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Ranks) (No. 2) Order 2004.

2. It is hereby determined that the Garda Síochána shall be divided into the ranks specified in column (1) of the Schedule to this Order and that each rank shall consist of not more than the number of members of the Garda Síochána specified in column (2) of that Schedule opposite the mention of the rank in column (1).

3. The Garda Síochána (Ranks) Order 2004 ( S.I. No. 222 of 2004 ) is hereby revoked.
