I, NOEL AHERN, Minister of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 88 (2) of the Harbours Act 1996 (No. 11 of 1996), the Maritime Transport, Safety and Security (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2005 ( S.I. No. 842 of 2005 ) and the Transport (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (Maritime) Order 2008 ( S.I. No. 319 of 2008 ), with the consent of the Minister for Environment, Heritage and Local Government, hereby order as follows: | ||
1. This Order may be cited as the Harbours Act, 1996 (Kilrush Harbour) Transfer Order, 2009. | ||
2. This Order shall come into effect on the 1 February 2009 | ||
3. There are hereby transferred to Kilrush Town Council, in its capacity as town council, all the property, rights and liabilities, and every member of staff of the said council in its capacity as harbour authority for Kilrush Harbour (also known as Cappa Pier at Kilrush). | ||
