I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2010/5/EU of 8 February 2010 1 , Commission Directive 2010/7/EU of 9 February 2010 2 , Commission Directive 2010/8/EU of 9 February 2010 3 , Commission Directive 2010/9/EU of 9 February 2010 4 , Commission Directive 2010/10/EU of 9 February 2010 5 and Commission Directive 2010/11/EU of 9 February 2010 6 , hereby make the following Regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Biocidal Products) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2010. | ||
2. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Biocidal Products) Regulations 2001 ( S.I. No. 625 of 2001 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting for the definition of “the Directive of 1998” (inserted by the European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Biocidal Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 ( S.I. No.38 of 2010 )) the following— | ||

3. The European Communities (Authorization, Placing on the Market, Use and Control of Biocidal Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 (S. I. No. 38 of 2010) are revoked. | ||
