I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) for the purpose of giving full effect to Council Regulation (EC) No. 73/2009 of 19 January 2009 1 , Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1120/2009 of 29 October 2009 2 , Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1122/2009 of 30 November 2009 3 , Council Regulation (EC) No. 1257/1999 of 17 May 1999 4 , Commission Regulation (EC) No. 817/2004 of 29 April 2004 5 , Council Regulation (EC) No. 1698/2005 of 20 September 2005 6 , Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1974/2006 of 15 December 2006 7 , Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1975/2006 of 7 December 2006 8 , hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Direct support schemes) Regulations 2010.

2. The European Communities (Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) (Compliance) Regulations 2009 ( S.I. No. 424 of 2009 ) (as amended by the European Communities (Marketing Standards) (Crops and Oils) Regulations ( S.I. No. 153 of 2010 ) are applied to the acts of the institutions of the European Union detailed in the Schedule.
