I, NOEL DEMPSEY, Minister for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive 2003/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 2003 1 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Vehicle Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence) (Amendment) Regulations 2010. | ||
2. Regulation 2(1) of the European Communities (Vehicle Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence) (No. 2) Regulations 2008 (No. 359 of 2008) is amended by substituting for the definition of “category D1” the following: | ||
“‘category D1’ means a vehicle in category D having passenger accommodation for not more than 16 persons;”. | ||

This amendment is being introduced to rectify an error in Regulation 2 (1) of the European Communities (Vehicle Drivers Certificate Of Professional Competence) (No. 2) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 359 of 2008 ). | ||
