S.I. No. 236/2011 - High Court Circuits (Amendment) Order, 2011.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 27th May, 2011.

The Courts Service, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 33 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1936 (No. 48 of 1936), as amended by the Courts Act, 1986 (No. 1 of 1986), and by section 29 of the Courts Service Act 1998 (No. 8 of 1998), and after consultation with the President of the High Court, hereby orders as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the High Court Circuits (Amendment) Order, 2011.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 2012.

2. The County of Donegal is hereby transferred from the High Court Circuit known as the Northern Circuit to the High Court Circuit known as the Western Circuit.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order formally transfers the County of Donegal from the Northern Circuit to the Western Circuit of the High Court with effect from the 1st January 2012.
