S.I. No. 682/2011 - Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act 1980 (Ratification of UPOV) Order 2011.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 30th December, 2011.

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (as amended by section 3 of the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) (Amendment) Act 1998 (No. 41. of 1998)) of the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act 1980 (No. 24 of 1980) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Act 1980 (Ratification of UPOV) Order 2011.

2. Any country that is a member of the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants shall be a Contracting Party for the purposes of the Plant Varieties (Proprietary Rights) Acts 1980 and 1998.
