I, LEO VARADKAR, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving further effect to Directive No. 2003/59/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 July 20031 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as European Communities (Vehicle Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence) (Amendment) Regulations 2012. | ||
2. In these Regulations “the Principal Regulations” means the European Communities (Vehicle Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence) (No. 2) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 359 of 2008 ). | ||
3. These Regulations come into operation twenty one days after the date on which they are signed. | ||
4. The Principal Regulations are amended in subparagraphs (a) and (b) of Regulation 7(10), by substituting “€72.00” for “€70”. | ||

These Regulations increase the fee required for a Certificate of Professional Competence Theory Test from €70 to €72. | ||
