I, PHIL HOGAN, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 231 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 , as amended, hereby make the following Regulations: | ||
Citation. | ||
1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Planning and Development (Amendment) Regulations 2012. | ||
(2) These Regulations and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2011 shall be construed as one and may be collectively cited as the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2012. | ||
Interpretation. | ||
2. In these Regulations, except where the context otherwise requires, “the Regulations” means the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 ( S.I. No. 600 of 2001 ), as amended. | ||
Commencement. | ||
3. These Regulations shall come into operation on the date of signature. | ||
Amendment of Article 186 of the Regulations. | ||
4. Article 186(1) of the Regulations is amended by the substitution of “10 weeks” for “16 weeks” wherever it occurs. | ||
Amendment of Article 191 of the Regulations. | ||
5. Article 191(1) of the Regulations is amended by the insertion of “and the local authority shall not make a decision on the application until the applicant has supplied the requested information” after “any such request”. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE | ||

These Regulations amend the Planning and Development Regulations, 2001 to reduce the period prior to the event that an application for a licence for an outdoor event must be made from 16 weeks to 10 weeks. |
