Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, MICHAEL NOONAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 57 (2) of the Finance (No. 2) Act 2008 (No. 25 of 2008), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Finance (No. 2) Act 2008 (Commencement of Section 57(1)) Order 2012.

2. The 6th day of July 2012 is appointed as the day on which section 57 (1) of the Finance (No. 2) Act 2008 (No. 25 of 2008) comes into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order brings section 57 (1) of the Finance (No. 2) Act 2008 (No. 25 of 2008) into operation with effect from 6th July 2012. Section 57 (1), together with Schedule 1 of the Finance (No. 2) Act 2008 , provides for the repeal of provisions relating to the excise duties on auctioneers’ licences, auction permits, and house agents’ licences.
