Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, JAMES REILLY, Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (3) of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2013 (No. 17 of 2013), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2013 (Commencement) Order 2013.

2. The 23rd day of December 2013 is appointed as the day on which the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2013 (No. 17 of 2013) shall come into operation.

This Order brings the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2013 (No. 17 of 2013) into operation. The Act amends Section 38 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002) and repeals certain provisions of the Tobacco Products (Control of Advertising, Sponsorship and Sales Promotion) Act 1978 (No. 27 of 1978).
