S.I. No. 34/2015 - Water Services Act 2014 (Irish Water Customer Registration) Order 2015.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd February, 2015.

I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (14) of the Water Services Act 2014 (No. 44 of 2014), hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Water Services Act 2014 (Irish Water Customer Registration) Order 2015.

2. In this Order—

“the Act” is the Water Services Act 2014 (No. 44 of 2014);

“occupier” has the meaning assigned by the Water Services (No. 2) Act 2013 (No. 50 of 2013);

3. The 2nd of February 2015 is specified as the day by which the occupier of a dwelling, provided with water services by Irish Water on 31 December 2014, shall be required to register with Irish Water for the purposes of section 3(14) of the Act.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Statutory Instrument gives effect to the decision of the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to specify the date by which the occupier of a dwelling, provided with water services by Irish Water on 31 December 2014, shall be required to register with Irish Water for the purposes of section 3 (14) of the Act.
