S.I. No. 631/2015 - Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2015.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 5th January, 2016.

I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (4) of the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015 (No. 42 of 2015), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015 (Commencement of Certain Provisions) Order 2015.

2. The 1st day of January 2016 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015 (No. 42 of 2015) come into operation:

(a) section 2;

(b) paragraph (d) of section 63, insofar as it relates to the insertion of subsection (7) into section 139 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 (No. 27 of 2004).

The purpose of this commencement order is to bring into operation on 1 January 2016 paragraph (d) of section 63, in so far as it relates to the insertion of subsection (7) into section 139 of the Residential Tenancies Act 2004 , relating to the updating of particulars on the PRTB tenancy registration form.
