S.I. No. 330/2016 - Freedom of Information Act 2014 (Amendment of Schedule 3) Regulations 2016.

I, PASCHAL DONOHOE, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (No. 30 of 2014), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (Amendment of Schedule 3) Regulations 2016.

2. Part 1 of Schedule 3 to the Freedom of Information Act 2014 (No. 30 of 2014) is amended by inserting

after the following:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation.)

These Regulations provide for the addition of a reference to the National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 to Schedule 3 of the Freedom of Information Act 2014 . This means that the Freedom of Information Act will override the non-disclosure provisions in paragraph 5 of the Second Schedule of the National Standards Authority of Ireland Act 1996 .
