S.I. No. 344/2016 - Private Security Services Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2016.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th July, 2016.

I, FRANCES FITZGERALD, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Private Security Services Act 2004 (No. 12 of 2004), order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Private Security Services Act 2004 (Commencement) Order 2016.

2. The 1st day of February 2017 is fixed as the day on which section 37 (as amended by section 13 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 (No. 23 of 2011)) of the Private Security Services Act 2004 (No. 12 of 2004) comes into operation as respects a private security employer or an independent contractor who provides a security service as a locksmith.
