I, MICHAEL CREED, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No.27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/85 of 18 January 20181 hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Control of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2018 | ||
2. The European Communities (Control of Organisms Harmful to Plants and Plant Products) (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2017 ( S.I. No. 318 of 2017 ) are amended in Regulation 2 (1) by substituting for the definition of “Commission Implementing Decision” the following— | ||
“ ‘Commission Implementing Decision’ means Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/715 of 11 May 20162 as amended by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/801 of 8 May 20173 and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/85 of 18 January 2018;”. | ||

These Regulations update existing Legislation with regard to the introduction of controls intended to minimise the risks associated with the introduction of Phyllosticta citricarpa (McAlpine) Van der Aa and spread of same within the Union. | ||
