S.I. No. 604/2018 - Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act 1971 (Designation of Bodies) Order 2018

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, EOGHAN MURPHY, Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (2) of the Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act 1971 (No. 6 of 1971), as adapted by the Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2017 ( S.I. No. 358 of 2017 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act 1971 (Designation of Bodies) Order 2018.

(2) This Order shall come into effect on the 21st day of December 2018 following the date of the making of the order.

2. In this Order—

“approved housing body” means a body standing approved for the purposes of section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992 (No. 18 of 1992); and

3. The following bodies are designated for the purposes of section 3(3) of the Local Government Services (Corporate Bodies) Act 1971 (No. 6 of 1971), as bodies for which the Land Development Agency may provide the services specified in its establishment order (Establishment Order No. 352 of 2018), or services of a similar nature,—

Department of Defence,

Department of Justice and Equality,

Department of Public Expenditure and Reform,

• Office of Public Works,

Department of Education and Skills,

• Higher Education Authority,

Department of Health,

• Health Service Executive,

Department of Finance,

• National Treasury Management Agency,

• National Asset Management Agency,

• Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF),

• National Development Finance Agency,

Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine,

• Coillte,

• Horse Racing Ireland,

Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport,
