I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 21 (1) of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006 (No. 12 of 2006) and the Property Registration Authority (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2017) ( S.I. No. 574 of 2017 ), as adapted by the Housing, Planning and Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No. 408 of 2020 ), and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform as required by section 21 (1) of the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006 (No. 12 of 2006) (as adapted by the Finance (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2011 ( S.I. No. 418 of 2011 )), hereby order as follows: | ||
1. (a) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Deeds and Title Act 2006 (Fees) Order 2020. | ||
(b) This Order shall come into operation on 1 January 2021 and shall cease to have effect on 31 December 2023. | ||
2. No fee shall be chargeable in respect of an application for the registration of an entry of a charge on the register of the property charged where such application— | ||
(a) is lodged by electronic means in a manner approved by, and | ||
(b) complies with the requirements specified by the Property Registration Authority. | ||
The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform consents to the making of the foregoing Order. | ||
