S.I. No. 600/2020 - Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2020

I, SIMON HARRIS, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 , 7 , 8 and 14 of the Student Support Act 2011 (No. 4 of 2011), and the Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2020 ( S.I. No 451 of 2020 ) as adapted by the Education and Skills (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S.I. No 450 of 2020 )), having consulted with the Higher Education Authority and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following regulations:—

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1^st day of January 2021.

3. Schedule 1 to the Student Support Regulations 2020 ( S.I. No. 77 of 2020 ) is amended in PART A thereof, by the insertion of the following approved institution:

“Munster Technological University”

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations are an amendment to the existing principal Regulations ( S.I. No. 77 of 2020 ) which prescribe “approved institutions” and other matters for the purposes of the Student Support Act 2011 .These Regulations may be cited as the Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2020.
