Qualification of obligation to issue screening notice in exceptional circumstances | ||
15. (1) Where the Minister is satisfied, in relation to a non-notified transaction, that there are reasonable grounds for believing that it would be manifestly contrary to the security or public order of the State to— | ||
(a) issue a screening notice to a party to a transaction, or | ||
(b) include in the screening notice one or more of the statements referred to in section 14 (2), | ||
the Minister may elect not to do so. | ||
(2) Where the Minister elects not to issue a screening notice in relation to a transaction in accordance with this section, a period that is stated in this Act to be reckoned from the date on which a screening notice is issued shall, in relation to the transaction, be reckoned from the date on which the Minister commences a review of the transaction under this Act. |
