S.I. No. 215/2024 - Garda SÍochÁna (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 17th May, 2024.

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (No. 32 of 2023), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (Commencement) Order 2024.

2. The 15th day of May 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Garda Síochána (Recording Devices) Act 2023 (No. 32 of 2023) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1, other than sections 6 and 7;

(b) Part 2;

(c) Part 7;

(d) Part 8;

(e) Part 9, other than section 49.
