S.I. No. 673/2024 - Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Fees) Regulations 2024

I, JAMES LAWLESS, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 42 (inserted by section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2006 (No. 23 of 2006)) of the Road Traffic Act 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) and the National Roads and Road Traffic (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order 2002 ( S.I. No 298 of 2002 ) (as adapted by the Transport, Tourism and Sport (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2020 ( S. I. No. 351 of 2020 )), and the Transport (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order 2024 ( S.I. No. 354 of 2024 ), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Fees) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations come into operation on 1 January 2025.

2. The fee to be paid to the licensing authority on the application to it in respect of any of the licences referred to in column (1) of the Schedule is set out in column (2) of the Schedule opposite the mention of the licence.

3. The Road Traffic (Licensing of Drivers) (Fees) Regulations 2020 (S. I. No. 75 of 2020) are revoked.
