S.I. No. 676/2024 - Seanad Electoral (University Members) (Amendment) Act 2024 (Part 2 and Section 29) (Commencement) Order 2024

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 6th December, 2024.

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 (1) of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) (Amendment) Act 2024 (No. 40 of 2024), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Seanad Electoral (University Members) (Amendment) Act 2024 (Part 2 and Section 29) (Commencement) Order 2024.

2. The 5th day of December 2024 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) (Amendment) Act 2024 (No. 40 of 2024) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 2;

(b) section 29;

(c) the Schedule.
