S.I. No. 445/2025 - Supports for Survivors of Residential Institutional Abuse Act 2025 (Commencement) Order 2025

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd October, 2025.

I, HELEN MCENTEE, Minister for Education and Youth, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsections (2) and (4) of section 1 of the Supports for Survivors of Residential Institutional Abuse Act 2025 (No. 7 of 2025), and after consultation with the Minister for Children, Disability and Equality in accordance with the said subsection (4), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Supports for Survivors of Residential Institutional Abuse Act 2025 (Commencement) Order 2025.

2. The 5th day of September 2025 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Supports for Survivors of Residential Institutional Abuse Act 2025 (No. 7 of 2025) shall come into operation:

(a) Part 1;

(b) Part 2, other than section 4;

(c) Part 4, other than section 20.
