S.I. No. 17/2026 - Immigration Act 2004 (Visas) (Amendment) Order 2026

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 30th January, 2026.

I, Colm Brophy, Minister of State at the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 17 of the Immigration Act 2004 (No. 1 of 2004) (as adapted by the Justice (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2025 ( S.I. No. 242 of 2025 ) and the Justice, Home Affairs and Migration (Delegation of Ministerial Functions)(No.2) Order 2025 ( S.I. No. 253 of 2025 ), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Immigration Act 2004 (Visas) (Amendment) Order 2026.

(2) This Order comes into operation on 16 February 2026.

2. The Immigration Act 2004 (Visas) Order ( S.I. No. 473 of 2014 ) is amended –

(a) by the substitution of the following for Schedule 2:

“SCHEDULE 2

Article (3)(b)(v) and Article 3(f)

Albania	Montenegro
Bosnia and Herzegovina	Republic of North Macedonia
Colombia	People’s Republic of China
Georgia	Peru
Indonesia	Qatar
Kosovo	Serbia
Kuwait	South Africa
Republic of Moldova	Türkiye

”, and

(b) in Schedule 5, by the substitution of “Republic of Moldova” for “Moldova”.
