AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (CEREALS) ACT (COLLECTION OF FEES) REGULATIONS, 1933. | ||
WHEREAS it is enacted by section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), that the Minister for Finance may from time to time make regulations for certain purposes respecting fees in any public office, and amongst others for the purpose of regulating the manner in which such fees, taken in money, are to be taken, accounted for, and paid over; | ||
AND WHEREAS the Office of the Minister for Agriculture and the Office of the Minister for Industry and Commerce are public offices within the meaning of the said Act; | ||
AND WHEREAS by virtue of the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act (Collection of Fees) Order, 1933, (Statutory Rules and Orders, 1933 No. 76), fees payable in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture and in the Office of the Minister for Industry and Commerce under the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933), are to be collected in money; | ||
NOW, therefore, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Public Offices Fees Act, 1879, as adapted by or under the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 (No. 2 of 1922), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling hereby makes the following regulations, that is to say:— 1. These Regulations may be cited for all purposes as the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act (Collection of Fees) Regulations, 1933. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1889, applies to the interpretation of these Regulations in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas passed before the 1st day of January, 1924. 3. In these regulations the expression "the Act" means the Agricultural Produce (Cereals) Act, 1933 (No. 7 of 1933). 4. Fees taken in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture under sub-section (1) of section 51 of the Act shall be taken in the form of a Post Office Money Order payable to the Paymaster-General at the General Post Office, Dublin and crossed "/& Co./" or in the form of a banker's draft or of a cheque guaranteed by the bank on which it is drawn, payable to the credit of the account of the Paymaster-General. 5. Fees taken in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture under sub-section (1) of section 53 or under sub-section (4) of section 58 of the Act shall be taken either in cash or in any one of the forms mentioned in the foregoing regulation. 6. Fees taken in the Office of the Minister for Industry and Commerce under sub-section (1) of section 53 or under sub-section (4) of section 58 of the Act shall be taken either in cash or in any one of the forms mentioned in paragraph 4 of these regulations. 7. All fees taken in the Office of the Minister for Agriculture and in the Office of the Minister for Industry and Commerce under the Act shall be accounted for, paid into, or disposed of for the benefit of the Exchequer in such manner as the Minister for Finance may direct. | ||
