Remuneration of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Seanad Eireann.

6.—(1) There shall be paid to the Chairman of Seanad Eireann an annual sum by way of salary not exceeding the sum of £1,200, and to the Deputy Chairman of Seanad Eireann an annual sum by way of salary not exceeding the sum of £750.

(2) Whenever there is a general election for Seanad Eireann, the salary payable under this section to the person who was, on the day before the polling day of such general election, the Chairman of Seanad Eireann, shall continue to be paid to such person until, on the reassembly of Seanad Eireann after such general election, his successor is appointed.
