Persons admissible to district institutions.

33.—(1) Every district institution shall be available for the assistance of such class or classes of persons eligible for public assistance as the Minister shall from time to time by order direct and (except in cases of urgent necessity) for the assistance of no other persons.

(2) Unless and until the Minister otherwise orders, the several classes of persons who are, immediately before the commencement of this Act, authorised by a county scheme to be assisted in a home, hospital, or other institution maintained under such county scheme shall be deemed to be classes of persons for whose assistance such institution is available by virtue of an order made by the Minister under this section.
