STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS. 1940. No. 335.

FINANCE ACT, 1940 (SECTION 31) (APPOINTED DAY) ORDER, 1940.

WHEREAS it is enacted by subsection (1) of section 31 of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), that the Minister for Finance may by order appoint a day to be the appointed day for the purposes of the said section 31 :

NOW, the Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 31 of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), and of every and any other power him in this behalf enabling, hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act, 1940 (Section 31) (Appointed Day) Order, 1940.

2. The 21st day of November, 1940, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of section 31 of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940).
