LIVE PIGS (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1964.

I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Live Pigs (Regulation of Export) Order, 1964.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 4th day of May, 1964.

3. In this Order " pigs " includes boars, sows and bonhams.

4. The export of live pigs, otherwise than to Great Britain or Northern Ireland, is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order prohibits the export of live pigs, otherwise than to Great Britain or Northern Ireland, save under and in accordance with a licence issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 .
