EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (MARKETING OF ORNAMENTAL PLANT PROPAGATING MATERIAL AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1994.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 93/78/EEC of 21 September 1993(1), hereby make the following Regulations:

(1)O.J. No. L 256/19 of 14.10.1993.

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Ornamental Plant Propagating Material and Ornamental Plants) (Amendment) Regulations, 1994.

(2) The citation "the European Communities (Marketing of Ornamental Plant Propagating Material and Ornamental Plants) Regulations, 1994" shall include these Regulations.

2. In Regulation 2 of the European Communities (Marketing of Ornamental Plant Propagating Material and Ornamental Plants) Regulations, 1994, the definition "the Directive" is amended by the deletion of the word "and" where it occurs in that definition and by inserting at the end of the definition the words "and Commission Directive 93/78/EEC of 21 September 1993(4)." A footnote is added in the form. "(4) O.J. No. L. 256/19 of 14.10.1993".
