BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE BOARD (ESTABLISHMENT) ORDER, 1965 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1994.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 3 and 4 of the Health (Corporate Bodies) Act, 1961 (No. 27 of 1961) hereby orders as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment Order), 1965 (Amendment) Order, 1994.

2. The Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) Order 1965 ( S.I. No. 78 of 1965 ) shall be amended by the substitution for sub-article 16 (1) of the following sub-article:

"16. (1) A person other than the Chairman shall not receive any remuneration for acting as a member of the Board. The Chairman shall receive such remuneration for acting as Chairman of the Board as may from time to time be determined by the Minister".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to amend the Blood Transfusion Service Board (Establishment) Order, 1965, S.I. No. 78 of 1965 to provide for the payment of remuneration to the Chairman of the Blood Transfusion Service Board. The present provision precludes the payment of any remuneration to Board members.
