S.I. No. 364/2012 - European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving effect to Directive 2011/72/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 20111 and Directive 2011/87/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 November 20112 , hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

2. The European Communities (Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Type Approval) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 531 of 2011 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1), by substituting for the definition of “Tractor Directive” the following—

“ ‘Tractor Directive’ means Directive 2003/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 20033 (as amended by Council Directive 2004/66/EC of 26 April 20044 , Commission Directive 2005/13/EC of 21 February 20055 , Commission Directive 2005/67/EC of 18 October 20056 , Council Directive 2006/96/EC of 20 November 20067 , Regulation (EC) No. 1137/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 October 20088 , Commission Directive 2010/22/EU of 15 March 20109 and Commission Directive 2010/62/EU of 8 September 201010 ) and Directive 2000/25/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 May 200011 (as amended by Commission Directive 2005/13/EC of 21 February 2005, Council Directive 2006/96/EC of 20 November 2006, Commission Directive 2010/22/EU of 15 March 2010, Directive 2011/72/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 September 2011 and Directive 2011/87/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 November 2011);”.

These Regulations implement the provisions of Directive 2011/72/EU and Directive 2011/87/EU as regards the provisions for tractors placed on the market under the flexibility scheme.
