Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 2nd November, 2012.

I, BRENDAN HOWLIN, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and Other Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 37 of 2012), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and Other Provisions) Act 2012 (Commencement of Certain Provisions Relating to Pre-existing Public Service Pension Schemes) Order 2012.

2. Sections 3 and 5 , sections 49 to 51 and sections 53 and 54 of the Public Service Pensions (Single Scheme and Other Provisions) Act 2012 (No. 37 of 2012) come into operation on 1st November 2012, in so far as those sections relate to any pre-existing public service pension scheme.
