S.I. No. 46/2012 - European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

I, SIMON COVENEY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 1277/2011 of 8 December 2011¹ , hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

2. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 426 of 2011 ) are amended by substituting in Regulation 2(1) for the definition of “Commission Regulation 669/2009” the following—

“ ‘Commission Regulation 669/2009’ means Commission Regulation (EC) No. 669/2009 of 24 July 2009 as amended by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 212/2010 of 12 March 2010, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 433/2011 of 4 May 2011, Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 799/2011 of 9 August 2011 and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 1277/2011 of 8 December 2011;”.

3. The European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin for Pesticide Residues) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 ( S.I. No. 640 of 2011 ) are revoked.
